1) Tell us something about yourself that your fans may not know.
A: I am a huge Manchester United fan. I never miss a game!
2) What made you want to pursue a career in music?
A:I've always had a passion for music but never thought about it as a career until about 2018 when I started writing. I immediately fell in love with writing and performing and knew it was something I had to pursue.
3) Who are some artists who influenced you growing up, if any?
A: Carole King, Miles Davis, Norah Jones, Dido, Annie Lennox, Phil Collins, Sarah McLachlan, Fleetwood Mac.
4) What's your process like when going into the studio to make a new song?
A: Whether I'm writing or producing I always try to keep an open mind when going into the studio. I'm very open to ideas and different sonic elements. With writing I try to play around with chords and sing melody ideas over top until something fits. With production I try to think about what the intention of the energy and vibe is and explore sounds in that world.
5) What was the inspiration behind your latest single I Should Lose You?
A: This song is about falling out of love with someone and realizing you need to let them go. The relationship was failing and it became so one-sided. It’s easy to realize that you no longer have feelings for someone but it’s the intrinsic difficulty of hurting them is what makes it so hard. You can be in a relationship, feel a shift and know something isn’t right anymore but the second you say it out loud it’s in the open. You can’t take it back. The truth is, the best solution is to rip off the band aid and move on. That’s what I had to do.
6) What's next for you for the rest of 2022?
A: More music, an unannounced EP in the fall and some tour dates coming soon!!!
